Aims and Objectives

The major aims that the Nature Park has set itself in the rules of the society are, in particular:

• to conserve and protect the beauty, the typical character and the diversity of our nature, landscape, flora and fauna,
• to improve its recreational and tourist value,
• to foster traditional agriculture with its regional specialities and to strengthen its role in the shaping of the landscape and the character of the region to improve its use for recreation and tourism,
• to ensure that the open landscapes are looked after,
• to maintain the functions of the forests,
• to provide educational activities on nature and environment,
• to foster our regional identity.

In summary, it is the aim of the Nature Park to maintain diversity in the Black Forest and to give direction towards a sustainable future for the region.
